Photoporation is based on the interaction between pulsed laser light and photothermal nanosensitizers.
After incubation of cells with nanosensitizers, localized light-induced thermal and mechanical forces form transient pores in the cellular membrane. External payloads can enter the cellular cytosol through these pores with minimal impact on cell viability and functionality.
Our proprietary nanosensitizers can be used as a suspension for R&D applications or can be embedded in a nanofiber structure for clinical applications.
Minimal damage to the cell membrane means faster cell recovery and better preservation of functionality
Thanks to being gentle to cells, a high yield of transfected cells is achieved
Deliver a large variety of payloads (gene editing complexes, nucleic acids, contrast agents, proteins,…) to a broad range of cell types (immune cells, stem cells, neurons…)
No need for exchanging cell media – use in any transparent cell recipient (96-well plates, T-flasks, etc.)
